Kobo
On iPhoneTwo honest ways in.
Arriving
Built, and being proven with real libraries before it switches on. The steps below are how it works.
If you already send Kobo’s highlights to Readwise, connect Readwise and your Kobo books arrive with Kobo still on them. If you don’t, Kobo exports each book’s annotations as a file — share up to twenty of those at once, and the files are both the consent and the selection.

Nook calls itself OBN in its own screens — short for Our Book Nook.
Steps
- In Kobo, export a book’s annotations (Markdown, HTML, text, or PDF).
- Select up to 20 of those files and share them to Bring books to OBN.
- If a title could be two of your books, Nook asks once: Same book?
- That’s it — no second picker, no confirmation screen.

Good to know
- Kobo’s exports don’t carry an edition id, so a plausible match asks once and is then remembered.
- Some publishers restrict export, and because you choose which files to share, every import is marked partial — Nook can’t know what you left out.
